PowerShell – Lan Scanner


The following script scans IPV4 networks for hosts that respond to ICMP requests. The idea is that the script automatically finds the IP and MASK of the configured interfaces on the machine, calculates the range from IP/Mask and starts scanning. Also displays a visual progress bar. This PowerShell Lan Scanner script will also try and find the hostname and operating system of machines on the network. This only works for Windows based systems.

To achieve the first part I have used another script from Indented Networks. I have included all files in a zip format as well which you can download here.
